Learning is fun!

In Literacy, we have been learning about the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff, the children have been acting out parts of the story and using puppets during free flow.  They have been really great at saying the parts of the troll “Who’s that trip trapping over my bridge”, they have used the ship outside to help retell the story.

Maths has been a very exciting “hands-on” week, they have been learning how to measure using different objects, such as cubes, string and even straws.  It lead to some wonderful opportunities to measure their water bottles, building bricks and even the photocopier.

The pictures attached reflect how much fun we have all had this week and how engaged the children in Mayflower have been.
