    Duck Day

On Monday 16th June 2025, Mayflower held its first ever "Duck Day".

With the children and staff really feeling the absence of the chickens (who recently left us to join their new homes), we decided to welcome a brood of ducklings into our EYFS classrooms. Following their eggs hatching at Mayflower the previous week, the children in EYFS came into school dressed up as ducks or wore yellow clothes to celebrate Duck Day.

Each class in EYFS had a visit from the ducklings, with all children getting a chance to hold and cuddle one of them.
