This week our KS1 pupils took part in a Moon Landing Coding Adventure through Get With The Program, an interactive coding workshop designed for ages 5–8 that brings computing ideasto life with an exciting space theme. The session began with a fun assembly-style video where children joined Professor Trice and AL the Robot on a mission to get AL safely onto a Saturn V rocket and off to the moon.

This wasn’t just a story about space — pupils learned how to design, write, test and debug simple algorithms, all in a way that made sense for them. After the video, our Year 5 and Year 6 Digital Leaders guided KS1 pupils through follow-on activities that built on the computing ideas from the show.
