Harris Primary Academy Mayflower was alive colourful characters on Thursday 5th March as pupils and staff celebrated World Book Day 2026. The school children incredible in the impressive array of costumes we saw.

Throughout the day, each year group took part in a virtual session with a published children’s author. These interactive workshops gave pupils a behind‑the‑scenes insight into how stories are crafted. The authors shared personal experiences about their writing journeys, hopefully inspiring a few of the Mayflower children into creating stories of their own.
