Year 1 visit to Thorndon Country Park

On Friday 27th June, our Year 1 cohort visited Thorndon Country Park. After reading the Gruffalo in class, the children explored the park's own Gruffalo Trail, finding all of the book's characters and looking out for the different examples of habitats that different woodland animals might live in.

After completing the trail, the children had the opportunity to explore the woods, taking in the physical features of the landscape with their friends.
